Course Information
Primary Diploma

IMET is the only institution in Pakistan that is affiliated with the Association Montessori Internationale, Holland (AMI).
It has no other branch in Pakistan. The Diploma awarded is internationally recognized.
Eligibility: Preferably graduates or at least Intermediate pass or 3 A level passes (not including GENERAL).
Grades A and B only.
The primary diploma course is conducted fully onsite.
Course Duration: August 2024 to June 2025
Tuition Fee: PKR 509,850/- (Including Tax)

Course Syllabus
The course is conducted in English and Urdu, five days a week from Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays are off.
The Course requires a minimum of 90% attendance at all lecture classes and 100% attendance at all supervised practice classes. It also requires a set number of hours of Observation and Practice Teaching in Montessori classrooms assigned by the Centre.
The course takes place over a span of ten months and includes a mix of lectures, hands-on experience and examinations.
The Course includes lectures on:
- Montessori Philosophy
- Child psychology
- Observation and teaching practice in different environments.
- A compilation of albums and materials.
- Examinations involving two theory papers and oral exams conducted by an external examiner appointed by AMI.
- Educational techniques referring to different developmental stages of the 2 ½ to 6 years period, which includes:
- Exercises of practical life, which is the education of movement leading to integration of personality and adaptation to society.
- Sensorial exercises for the education of senses, laying the foundation for intelligence.
- Development of language skills.
- Building mathematical concepts.
- Building concepts for cultural subjects – History, Geography, Botany, Zoology, Science, Music and Art.
